Make it their own with a colour and a name
At home, choose a kit appropriate for the child’s age and follow the instructions together with an adult. Keep it separate from food and wash hands after playing.
When the creation is ready, give it a name such as “Starry Sky,” “Ocean” or “Strawberry Cloud.” Drawing a label for the container adds another creative activity to exploring colour and texture.
Finish with a mini exhibition
Arrange the creations on a table and invite children to share an idea behind their work. A child who does not enjoy touching slime can make labels or exhibition cards instead.
Everyone does not need to produce the same result. Choosing, creating and sharing can be as much a part of the experience as the finished piece.
