Step into light and colour at teamLab Borderless

Located on Garden Plaza B B1, teamLab Borderless is a museum of artworks surrounded by light and colour. Its official English name is teamLab Borderless: MORI Building DIGITAL ART MUSEUM. teamLab Borderless

Watch an artwork change or follow its shifting colours. Even when you stand in the same space, you may each notice something different. ‘Which place did you like best?’ can be a lovely conversation afterwards.

Standard entry tickets are for a specific date and time and may sell out, so buying ahead is a good idea. Children of elementary-school age and younger need an accompanying parent or guardian. Some spaces are dark, with light and sound effects, so take your child’s comfort into account as you explore.

Discover a picture book at Ogaki Bookstore on 4F

Ogaki Bookstore Azabudai Hills is on Tower Plaza 4F. Its picture-book corner, Ehon GALLERY, introduces books from around the world and art connected with picture books. Ogaki Bookstore Azabudai Hills · Ehon GALLERY information

You can pick up an interesting book and take a seat to turn its pages. Before choosing a book to buy, enjoy discovering which pictures and stories catch your child’s attention.

The book you pick and the one your child finds might be quite different—that is part of the pleasure of visiting a bookshop together. Follow the shop’s reading guidance and share seats considerately with other visitors.

Look for little discoveries in Central Square

Central Square offers a place to walk among trees and planting. When the lawn is open, sitting down for a short rest can be a pleasant pause in the day. Central Square information

‘Can you spot a yellow leaf?’ ‘Can you find another leaf that shape?’ Looking for colours in the planting or imagining shapes in the clouds needs no equipment at all.

Central Square is a shared space. Ball games and certain other activities are not permitted, so choose ways to enjoy it that leave room for others. Lawn access and opening times can vary with the weather and its condition. Guidance for using the square

For another kind of play, add a Lumina experience

After enjoying something together, you might make room for your child to become absorbed in an activity of their own.

At Lumina, near Azabudai Hills, our themed party experiences last around two hours. Crafts invite children to choose colours and materials and make things with their hands. Games offer moments to take turns and cheer for someone else. These are little opportunities to connect through play.

Sitting around a table with children they have just met can be a first step towards new friendships. At Lumina, we value those encounters and the feeling of ‘I’d like to try that.’

Drop-off sessions are usually around two hours; longer stays of up to about five hours may be arranged by consultation. Please confirm available dates and conditions in advance. While children take part, parents can plan some shopping or a salon appointment nearby.

To bring the day together, try our family half-day plan combining Azabudai Hills and Lumina.
