LUMINA CURIOSITY CLUB
Your child doesn’t have to know what they want to learn yet. Start by trying something new, meeting someone different and seeing what sparks their interest. That is the idea behind Lumina Curiosity Club.
How can children know what they enjoy before they have a chance to try it? Lumina Curiosity Club is for families who would like to explore different interests before committing to one activity. Based at the same Azabudai venue as Lumina Soirée, the club is being developed around curiosity, new experiences and the moment a child thinks, “I might like this.”
“I tried it for the first time —
and I loved it.”
A LITTLE OF SOMETHING NEW
These are examples of experiences being planned. The actual programme, teachers and dates will be announced when enrolment opens.
Explore languages such as English and Italian, with opportunities to encounter different cultures and ways of seeing the world.
Move to music and enjoy finding your own way to express yourself.
Step into a character or bring a story to life through movement, imagination and voice.
Discover how your own voice can make a rhythm — and become an unexpected creative tool.
Practise sharing feelings and ideas in your own words, while listening to what others have to say.
CURIOSITY COMES FIRST
“I’d like to try again.” “I want to know more.” Those are the feelings we value. Building a skill takes sustained learning and practice; the club is intended to be a first step towards finding an interest. An experience here might lead to a specialist class, a new question or something a child chooses to keep doing at home.
Asking a teacher a question. Listening to a friend’s idea. Trying together and encouraging one another. Alongside curiosity, we value opportunities for self-expression, independent choices and considerate relationships.
HOW IT WILL WORK
The planned model is a monthly membership, with families choosing sessions from each month’s programme. We are currently designing it around approximately three visits per month.
Fees, age ranges, confirmed attendance terms, session times and the enrolment opening date are still being prepared. Confirmed information will be published here.
Instructions for monthly membership registration will appear here when enrolment opens. In the meantime, you are welcome to email us with questions about the club.
Ask us about the clubOpens your email app. This does not register a membership or take a payment.
Across Lumina, we also value charity, neighbourhood clean-ups, volunteering and connections across generations. Complimentary member benefits, a 10% shop discount and priority event invitations are ideas under consideration. How these activities and benefits will relate to Curiosity Club membership is still being developed; they are not currently presented as included in the club’s monthly fee.
